The cooperation between En Classe and a school generally starts with the renovation of the school building in order to create a safe and comfortable learning environment. But that's just the beginning. En Classe has also developed several innovative programs to improve the quality of the education. And that is a much needed change. In the past few years, we have tested four programs at our schools. Once these programs have proven to be successful, they will be expanded in Kinshasa and then to the rest of Congo. All our efforts are aimed at providing the children with the best tools possible to have a better future.

Hygiene program
In our hygiene program, we are teaching children, teachers and parents about the various aspects of hygiene, such as washing hands, proper bathroom use and waste management. This is very important since good hygiene can literally be of vital importance in Congo. READ MORE …

Digital reading program
Unfortunately, the level of reading of Congolese children is far below the standard. This shouldn’t come as much of a surprise, since books are hard to come by. In cooperation with Library for All and Samsung RDC, En Classe introduced the very first digital library in Congo in 2015. READ MORE …

Teacher training
One of the main factors determining the quality of education is the quality of the teachers. In cooperation with the Edukans foundation, teachers of four En Classe schools are being trained in teaching and educational skills.
