
Joris lived in Kinshasa for a total of one year in 2013 and 2016 and during his stay, he provided various training courses to En Classe’s local team. He was also involved with the Congo Leadership Initiative. Joris now lives in Belgium after projects in France and Brazil. Since 2018, Joris has been a member of the board of En Classe and is responsible for the organization development of En Classe. The goal is to further develop En Classe into an organization that autonomously improves the quality of Congolese education. Through coaching of the local team, he is working on the development of the Model School, the annual agenda and strengthening the basic routines of the Aide Scolaire.

Joris heeft in 2013 en 2016 in totaal een jaar in Kinshasa gewoond en tijdens zijn verblijf verschillende trainingen aan het lokale team verzorgd. Ook was hij enige tijd betrokken bij het Congo Leadership Initiative. Joris woont na verblijf in Frankrijk en Brazilië nu in België. Sinds 2018 neemt Joris zitting in het bestuur van En Classe en is hij verantwoordelijk voor de organisatie ontwikkeling van En Classe. Het doel is om En Classe te ontwikkelen tot een organisatie die autonoom de kwaliteit van Congolees onderwijs verbetert. Door middel van coaching van het lokale team is hij onder andere bezig met de ontwikkeling van de Modelschool, de jaaragenda en het versterken van de basis routines van de Aide scolaires.

Deborah was the second one to join the local team. She is actually an actress and singer and uses this experience often in her work as the @Scolaire of Matonge. Because of her excellent communication skills, she is responsible for all external communication in Kinshasa and helps with the social media of En Classe.

Méthode was born in the Bandundu. He studied law in Lubumbashi, and has been living in Kinshasa for 10 years. He works at the CLI, Congo Leadership Initiative, on the weekends, and at En Classe during the week. He is @Scolaire of Kimbwala and responsible for all teacher trainings which are provided by our partner organisations.

Landry was born and raised in Kinshasa. He is currently in his 3rd year of law school at the university of Kinshasa. He combines his studies with his work for En Classe. Landry loves books and oversees all reading programs at En Classe. In addition, he is the @Scolaire of Kabinda. In the future, he wants to be a spokesperson for the rights of Congolese children.
